Wayne Dillon Parnell South African Cricketer Joins Islam, as Waleed

Being a Musilm it is very enchanting to know about Wayne Dillon Parnell, South African cricketer has converted to Islam. International media is reporting about Parnell, another Muslim cricketer.

According to the news Parnell had accepted Islam in January this year but he had announced this by a complete study of many things.

Parnell will change his first name as Waleed while keeping second and third name. He has also said that he will not object or advertising or branding of a alcoholic beverage.

Now it will be three muslims in South African cricket team. Hashim Amla and spinner Imran Tahir. While their coach is also a Muslim.

Last week heard from a friend about the legend of cricket Brian Lara, that he has accepted Islam and would likely to be adopting a muslim name soon. This similar news was somewhat send to me in email which reads same but it further elborates that

Brian Lara has accepted Islam by the Hands of Saeed Anwar and Junaid Jamshaid. But is these news true ??

Found out his picture some days ago, on Flickr and saved it to share it with my readers. But fortunatly it helped me today to start this blog today some how, else I was not able to find the right step to make this blog active.
